由创始人潘鸿彬领导的香港PANORAMA Design Group泛纳设计集团最近完成了深圳MeeHotel觅居酒店的设计。MeeHotel是一家精品城市度假酒店，旨在为商务旅客提供快节奏的城市休憩之所。为此，潘和他的团队从场地的名字——竹子林——中寻找灵感，构思了一个宁静的、以竹子为主要材料的、以自然为中心的空间。
Hong Kong-based PANORAMA Design Group, led by founder Horace Pan, has recently completed the design of MeeHotel in Shenzen. Described as a boutique urban resort, the hotel aims to provide business travellers a respite from the fast-paced city. To this end, Pan and his team took their cues from the location’s name — Bamboo Forest — to conceive a tranquil, nature-focussed space, with bamboo being the key material.
从大堂空间开始, 竹子作为主要的材料让每一个顾客进到大堂空间第一眼就看到主题。设计团队跟湖南的竹编师傅共同在现场探讨怎样可以利用竹编创造接待处及大堂吧的全高屏风, 尖顶天花及硅藻泥饰面墙体加以细致的光影效果成为整个空间的灵魂。顶层的Sky Café也运用竹子建构了一个禅意的、类似教堂的空间，白天让自然光线穿过天窗落在座位区域中间。
Pan enlisted the expertise of a traditional bamboo weaver to create the full-height bamboo screens that envelope the lobby and lounge, while each pair of guest room floors has its own double-height central courtyard, where an organic installation of bamboo vines — also the work of the master weaver — appear to tumble down from the ceiling, their curves reflected in a play of light and shadows across the floor. On the uppermost level is the Sky Café, housed in a bamboo structure with a cathedral ceiling that evokes a calming forest-like cocoon.
设计团队希望这不只是另一个精品酒店项目, 在酒店空间中注入一个文化层面除了为繁忙的大都会里面创造一个更有意义的休闲体验, 更希望可以从建筑到室内的层面上弘扬竹子独有的特质, 让商务客人能欣赏到传统手工艺的传承和美态, 在我們的繁忙都市生活中达致美学, 功能及文化层面上的提升。
From the lobby through to the top floor, MeeHotel offers an antithesis to the bustling city, where guests can not only gain a sense of calm but also a new appreciation for traditional craft.
