内境空间设计 | 浙江超大1300m² 狗狗派萌宠中心
In the dog’s life of more than ten years, nearly half of the time is spent in waiting, these time was stolen by “loneliness”. Is it possible to make these times more meaningful? Perhaps in these times, they can socialize, play games together, get training, etc., making the lonely waiting time meaningful and returning the stolen time to them.
Dogs are also our “children” to some extent, and play is also their nature. Dogs are as lively and energetic as children, but with limited conditions, they cannot carry out effective activities and cannot grow better. This time we have built the largest indoor pet center in Zhejiang in Hangzhou, integrating pet paradise, day care, swimming, training, grooming and washing, parties, etc., to provide more services for dogs.
Dogs have only two types of cone cells, so the colors they can recognize are very limited. Dogs have a strong ability to recognize blue, and most of the colors are just different shades of gray in the eyes of dogs.
In space, we used blue as an auxiliary guide for the dog, so that the blue jumped out of the dog’s field of vision. The idea of this design is to leave space for the dogs so that they have enough space to move around, which is very important.
In the first floor space, we placed two small buildings as two scenes in the space, which became the two visual focal points of the space. Dogs and their owners can interact and take pictures here. The blue tone is used inside the “building”. Blue can quickly jump out of the dog’s vision. Through the color, they can better identify the location of the two areas and encourage them to explore. There are various blue guide lines and color blocks on the ground, which can be used when training dogs.
The swimming pool is equipped with a circulating disinfection and constant temperature system. In a clean and comfortable swimming pool, dogs can swim freely.
Most of the area on the first floor and the terrace on the third floor are used as activity areas and training areas for dogs, covering an area of 423 square meters. Why would such a large area be used for this function? First of all, the founder of the brand thinks and operates from the starting point of caring for pets, which determines our design strategy. We inspected the major pet stores and found that a large area is for live-body sales and merchandise retailing, and the area left for pet activities is very limited.
We know that live sales are a module with relatively high profit margins in pet shops, but when we see the pets being confined in cages and crying helplessly and showing numb eyes, we know that we can’t do this. We consider the profit model of business from the starting point of caring for pets.
Considering that there are different types of dogs, this area can be divided into a puppy area and a rest area according to operational needs to provide a safer environment for small dogs.
The sunken enclosed space allows more interaction and communication between people, people and pets, pets and pets. This is the meaning of birthday parties, and the spatial scale also conforms to the habits of dogs.
In the short life of a dog, we may not be able to change the length of its life, but we can broaden the width of its life, hoping that every dog can escape the shackles of traditional cages.
